Elvis And Priscilla's Divorce Papers Are Up For Auction, With Plenty of Settlement Details Included

If you're a die-hard fan of the late Elvis Presley, good news: you can now own the legal documents that dissolved his marriage to Priscilla Presley for the low price of thirty thousand dollars. The divorce papers of one of rock's most famous couples are up for auction today by British auction house Henry Aldridge & Son, and a pre-sale estimate values the documents at "$26,318 to $32,898," per Fox News.

The 12-page divorce filings, dated August 15, 1972, contain a breakdown of what each party received in the post-split settlement. "Elvis signed over to Priscilla his famous 1971 Mercedes Benz, his 1969 Cadillac Eldorado, a 1971 Harley Davidson motorcycle, and $100,000. Priscilla would also receive half the income from three rental homes in California," according to Fox.


The papers themselves also contain multiple autographs (okay, legally they might be termed "signatures"). “The document is signed by Elvis (twice in his full name Elvis Aaron Presley and once with his initials EAP) and four times by Priscilla (three times in her name Priscilla Ann Presley and once with her initial's PAP) also signed with their attorneys signatures,” auctioneer Henry Aldridge told Fox.

The former couple married on May 1, 1967, when the singer was 32, and his bride eleven years younger, at just 21. They had daughter Lisa Marie the following year. Their lineage lives on in Hollywood, as granddaughter Riley Keough is very much a star in her own right.

With the papers going to auction, the answer of what to get what that person who already has everything this holiday season has officially been answered. And after-all, thank to Big Little lies, it is only a matter of time that posh elementary schools begin throwing "Elvis And Audrey"-themed fundraisers, and what better party favor is there than an actual piece of Presley history?
